4-day Annual Sports Festival Inaugurated at Gurukul International Public School
BERHAMPUR, 20/12 (Abhijit Kar): The Annual Sports Festival was inaugurated with a grand ceremony at Gurukul International Public School located on Goods Shed Road on Saturday morning. The event organized in the school premises was inaugurated by the school Chairman Shri Prashant Mohapatra and Secretary Smt. Anita Kumari Padhi as the chief guests and inaugurated the sports festival. On this occasion, under the leadership of sports teacher G. Akash, the school head boy Amit Sethi lit the Mashaal at the nearby Maa Durga temple and went around the city with all the students of the school to encourage the players. In this context, the Mashaal was lit by the guest of honor and the school Principal Mrs. Madhusmita Parida. Meanwhile, among the sports held today, 100' meter race, 200' meter race, shot put, discus throw, slow cycle race were the main sports competitions.
According to the information, this entire sports festival will be organized in the school premises for four days from the 20th to the 24th, the school President has informed. Similarly, this sports festival is being organized to further stimulate the physical and mental strength of the school students, to identify the talent of the players and to contribute to providing the country with a special player in the coming days, said the guest and the school Chairman, Mr. Mohapatra.
