Actor Mushtaq Khan Survives Kidnapping attempt Near Delhi-Meerut Highway

Actor Mushtaq Khan, known for his roles in films like Welcome and the recent horror-comedy Stree 2, revealed a harrowing experience of being kidnapped from the Delhi-Meerut highway.

According to media reports, Khan was invited to an award function in Meerut on November 20. The kidnappers arranged for his flight tickets and even transferred an advance payment to his account, giving no indication of their true intentions.

Upon landing in Delhi, Khan was picked up and driven to a secluded area near Bijnor, where he was held hostage for nearly 12 hours. During his captivity, the actor was tortured, and the kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore. However, they were only able to extract ₹2 lakh from the bank accounts of Khan and his son.

Khan’s escape was nothing short of cinematic. Hearing the morning azaan, he realized there was a mosque nearby. Seizing the moment, he fled from his captors and sought help from local residents. With police assistance, the senior actor safely returned home.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident. Khan, who is reportedly recovering well, is expected to provide a detailed account of the ordeal in the coming days.
