BERHAMPUR, 20/1 (Abhijeet Kar): Radhakrishna Traders Association in Tulsi Nagar has set an example by organizing a mega blood donation camp and distributing free health check-up and medicine on the birthday of young BJD leader and Urban Bank President, former corporate social worker R. Murali Mohan. For the past 14 years, it has been doing such a great work on the birthday of Shri Murali, and this year it organized a mega blood donation camp. Radhakrishna Traders Association, Friends for Ever Group and Shankar Nethraalaya jointly organized a mega blood donation camp, free eye treatment camp and free health camp on Tulsi Nagar Main Road. The chief guest of the event was Shri Bhavani Kant Mishra, Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation, Guest of Honour District BJD President Ramesh Chandra Chayupatnayak, Murali's Mother R. Savitri, Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, Deputy Mayor E. Vivek Reddy, Social Worker Arakshit Jena, Senior Leader Subash Chandra Maharana, Bhimsen Dalai participated prominently and inaugurated the blood donation camp. A total of 350 units of blood were collected in the said blood donation camp, about 90 people were examined, 16 were given glasses and 15 people were diagnosed with cataracts.
Similarly, arrangements were made to send 8 people to the hospital for free medical treatment and 19 people received retinal treatment. Apart from this, more than 500 people from ward 15 and the surrounding areas were tested for heart disease, neurological disease, bone disease, diabetes, blood pressure and distributed medicines. The guests praised Murali for such a great work and congratulated the blood donors. Urban Bank President Murali said this has been possible due to the love of everyone and the grace of God. Later in the evening, after cutting the cake and distributing fruits at Zara Ashram and Blind School in Andha Pasra, cooked food was distributed to the patients and their relatives at MKCG Medical College.
