TMKOC Producer Asit Modi Opens Up on Palak Sindhwani’s Exit: Calls Her ‘Indiscipline’
Asit Modi on Palak's Exit
In an interaction with News 18 Showsha, Modi explained the reasons behind Palak’s ouster and emphasized the importance of discipline and adherence to contracts. He stated:
“People know you because of your character, whether it is Palak or somebody else. Abdul’s real name is Sharad, but people call him Abdul Bhai. Artists are known by their characters' names. We have positive and loving characters. If somebody advertises anything, it will impact the show’s image. Everyone works within a contract. You cannot break your contract.”
Modi further expressed his disappointment with Palak’s public comments about the show:
“Jab voh kuch bhi bol dete hai toh bura lagta hai. But unki umar kya? Kya samajh hai unko? Bolne do. Baat mein koi aisa dum nahi hai.”
Discipline and Professionalism
Modi also highlighted the demanding nature of producing a long-running show like TMKOC, which requires maintaining discipline:
“Everyone has to work in a discipline. I am also making a show for SAB TV and work with dignity. I have a contract with the artists, and they have one with me. We produce 26 episodes every month, which requires commitment and dedication. It can’t depend on someone’s mood. This was one of the reasons behind her exit.”
The Fallout
Palak Sindhwani, on the other hand, had earlier accused the makers of mistreatment and claimed she was unfairly targeted. Her exit has sparked debates about the working conditions and expectations on television sets.
While both sides have voiced their perspectives, the controversy highlights the challenges of balancing creative freedom with professional commitments in the television industry.
