Ration card portal to open for new enrollments today, check how to enroll here

The online portal for the enrollment of the new beneficiaries under the Ration card will begin today. The left out beneficiaries get their names enrolled informed Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.

Speaking to media personnel during his Sambalpur visit on Friday, the Minister informed that by March 31, 2025 all the pending work related to the e-KYC verification will be completed.

Similarly, the names of four lakh ghost beneficiaries have been cancelled out from the ration card list. The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister further said that, the errors in the list will be rectified soon. A complete survey will be done to cancel out the names of the ineligible beneficiaries.

On the other hand, some government employees have also returned the ration cards they had acquired by illicit means. The survey will chalk out the ineligible beneficiaries and will bring about a transparency in the system.

He stated that,” On my appeal, some government employees had returned their ration cards. We also have the list of those filing Income Tax returns and will soon conduct a door-to-door survey. The ones earning handsomely will be removed from the list. The online portal will open for the beneficiaries from Saturday.”
