'I Was Attracted to Karan Singh Grover's Kindness': Barkha Bisht on Dating & Parting Ways with the Actor

Barkha Bisht, widely recognized for her performances in shows like Naamkaran and Ramleela, recently opened up about experiencing her first heartbreak in Mumbai. In an exclusive conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the actress confirmed that she was once in a relationship with Karan Singh Grover for two years before they parted ways.

When asked about her relationship with Karan, Barkha admitted, "Yes, I was dating him for 2 years, yeah Karan and I were dating." She further revealed what initially attracted her to the actor, saying:

"I don't know, hum itne chote thhe but mujhe yaad hai ke Karan was a very kind person. Mujhe kindness bahut attract karti hai logon mein. Unhe dekh kar aisa lagta hai, like you said he is good looking and he has a great body and people think he has a certain attitude but unke andar ek inherent kindness hai jo I really got attracted to. Kyunki Bombay mein bahut log kind nahi hote, zyadatar log kind nahi hote, toh jahan bhi mujhe kindness milti hai na, I am always attracted to that. So that was definitely one of the things."

She playfully added, "But yeah, let's not forget, he was very good looking. The six packs, come on, I was 23, so what do you expect?" (laughs)

Why Barkha and Karan Parted Ways

Speaking about their breakup, despite both being extremely popular at the time, Barkha explained that there was no major fallout. She shared:

"Nothing went wrong. Like I said, hum bahut chote thhe us samay and I think over a period of time, we grew into different people. So it was just that, nothing went wrong as such. We grew into different people, I think our views on life changed, so yeah, it was just the only thing, but otherwise there was nothing."

For those unaware, Barkha later married actor Indraneil Sengupta, but after 15 years of marriage, the couple parted ways, with reports suggesting allegations of infidelity against Sengupta. On the other hand, Karan Singh Grover is now happily married to actress Bipasha Basu.
