Annual Day Celebrations of Royal Pharmacy and Health Sciences College
Berhampur, 21/3 (D.K.): Berhampur Royal Vibrations 2024″, the Annual day of Royal College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Andhapasara road. Berhampur was celebrated with great cheers on Thursday in the college campus. Prof. P. N. Murthy. Director of the college and President of the function welcomed the guests and the gathering. In his introductory note he briefed about the continuous progress and contributions made by the college in uplifting the careers of the students in particular and standards of the profession in general Prof Murthy emphasized on contributions of the profession towards service to mankind Prof. (Dr.) Sachidananda Mohanty, DMET, Odisha and the Chief Guest of the function expressed his happiness to see the facilities provided by the college and recognized the contribution of pharmacists in health care system. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Panda, Jt. D.M.E.T. & Member Secretary, OSBP and Guest of Honour of the function appreciated the role of Pharmacy profession in serving the society and advised the students to reach out to the end users of medicines Dr. T. Prakas Rao, President, Royal Educational and Research Society underlined the importance of good health, knowledge and skills. He advised all the students to acquire the best possible knowledge and skills during their studies. Prof. S. K. Panda, Principal of RCPHS motivated the students and highlighted the significance of discipline in achieving their career goals.
He appreciated the involvement of all the students in the celebration and congratulated the winners of various events conducted during this celebration. Prof. U. S. Mishra, Vice -Principal, presented a report on the activities on Royal Vibrations – 2024. Dr. Saileswar Roy Memorial Award for best M Pharm. Student-2023 was conferred on Mr. Sangram Keshari Mehena. Similarly Mr. Aditya Narayana Padhy received Dr. Saileswar Roy Memorial Best B. Pharm. Student Award – 2023. Dr. Saileswar Roy Memorial Award for best D.Pharm Student-2023 was conferred on Miss Jigyasa Patra. Also, Devdeep Roy Memorial Best Pharmacology Student Award – 2023 was bagged by Miss Madhusmita Behera. The Devdeep Roy Memorial Badminton Championship – 2023 was won by Mr. Gyanaranjan Pala.
During this celebration many competitions in sports like badminton, cricket, volleyball, caroms, chess, tug of war, three legged race, musical chair etc. were conducted amongst the students. In the literary and art events, various competitions like essay, debate, quiz, mehendi, rangoli, best out of waste etc. were organized. Pharmaceutical model exhibition-cum-competition was also organized. Prizes were distributed to the winners. Various cultural activities were performed by the students. The cultural activities will also continue on 22.03.2024 to explore the inner talents of students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. A. K. Mahapatra. Around 600 students. 80 staff members and parents of the students participated actively and made the function enjoyable and memorable.
