Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s Munni aka Harshaali Malhotra Scores 83% in Class 10th Boards, Shuts Down Trolls for Not Prioritising Studies
Remember Munni from Bajrangi Bhaijaan? The cute little munchkin who brought smiles and tears to everyone’s faces throughout the film is now a big girl. Munni, aka Harshaali Malhotra, passed her class 10th exams with flying colours. Malhotra shared the news and revealed that she achieved 83 per cent in her 10th-grade exams. According to her, it is a testament to her hard work and a rebuttal to those who criticised her for posting dance videos on social media.
During an interview with Hindustan Times, Harshaali revealed that after seeing the marks, she felt extremely happy. She said, “My first reaction after seeing the marks was just a lot of excitement. We got to know that the result was out at the last minute, so it is good that we didn’t have any time to get nervous before. We just opened the site and saw the result. My parents were also elated to see my hard work pay off.”
When Harshaali was asked how she prepared for her exams, the 16-year-old said that it is all about how well you manage time. “I used to focus on studies from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, I used to do Kathak and shoot reels,” she said.
Her social media posts had previously attracted trolls, criticising her for dancing instead of studying. Now, with her results, Harshaali feels it’s the perfect response to her critics. “My result is an answer to all the people questioning my focus on my studies. I had a Kathak exam too, in which I topped,” the actor said.
She further added, “Dancing and doing Kathak has always been my stress buster, and it was true for my 10th class as well. The mind also needs a break from studies, and everyone tries to find a way to divert their attention. Just like many kids go to play to divert their attention, I dance.”
Harshaali reveals that she is not the one who handles her Instagram, hence she doesn’t read the negative comments or the trolls. “My mother handles my Instagram account. She is the one who handles the trolling as well. I don’t read comments on my posts. But my mother shows some good comments sometimes,” she added.
