Sabuja Bahini is a different effort towards the protection of homeless animals

Brahmapur, 17/8 (Abhijit Kar): The third Saturday of August every year is recognized as “International Homeless Animal Day”. While this day is not expectedly celebrated in the Brahmapur Sabuja Bahini organization has taken this day seriously and started a different awareness program for the protection of homeless animals in the society. Through this program, the organization advised the authorities of small and big hair cutting salons in the city to keep the single-use blades or iron blades in a safe bin instead of throwing them in the garbage. These blades have been observed to injure the tongues in the mouths of cattle, dogs or cats in search of food. Therefore, the salon authorities were given a safe deposit to keep the blades in the organization’s efforts and promised that later these blades would be collected through each member of the organization and reinvested in the center. In modern times, all food is stored in dust for a long time and after eating, the leftover food is thrown into the garbage through that dust. A call for a plastic-free society was made on the occasion of the “International Day of the Homeless Animal”, as the food from the cows that come in search of food also ends up in the stomachs of cattle. The awareness program was attended by President Sibaram Panigarahi, Secretary A Prakash, P Binod, Prasanna Swayum, Sagar Prasad Patra, Praveen Nayak, Ajay Sahu, Rabindra Sahani, Banamali and other Main members of Berhampur Sabuja Bahini.
