BCCI Announces Unchanged Squad for Second Test Against Bangladesh After First Test Victory
Mumbai, Sep 22 – Following their victory in the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday, the BCCI has announced that the squad for the second Test remains unchanged. The match is set to take place at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on September 27.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has retained the same squad for the second Test of the series against Bangladesh,” read the official BCCI statement.
Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team currently leads the series 1-0 after a commanding 280-run victory in the first Test held at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
With this win, India has climbed to the top of the World Test Championship points table, while Bangladesh has dropped to sixth place.
