Celebration of “National Wildlife Week” by Brahmapur Sabuja Bahini

Berhampur, 8/10 (Abhijit Kar): “National Wildlife Week” has been observed by Berhampur Sabuja Bahini in Ramguda Reserve Forest under Kukudakhndi block. October 2nd to October 8th is observed as “National Wildlife Week” across India. Similarly, “National Wildlife Week” has been observed since 1952 to create awareness among the general public about important measures to protect wildlife. Conservation of natural habitats is very important for the protection and promotion of wildlife. In recognition of this, a cleaning program was organized by the Berhampur Sabuja Bahini at the shrine of Lord Kanti Kalua in the Ramguda reserved forest. Many tourists come here to enjoy the local nature and enjoy the forest. At the end of Banbhoji, tourists leave their own plastic glasses, plastic and turquoise plates. Especially some people with disabilities break glass bottles and throw them around.

Which is polluting the environment and completely unsafe for the wildlife in the protected forest. Through the program, garbage was cleaned in the areas where the association used to have bonfires. A special collection of broken glass bottles was made because the Ramguda reserve forest is heavily populated by elephants. As they are likely to get injured by the broken glass, the forest department should ban alcohol consumption in these protected forests to protect the elephants and wildlife, the association said. Brahampur Sabuja Bahini President Sibaram Panigrahi, secretary A Prakash, join Secretary P Binod, Treasurer Ganesh Panigarahi, Munna Satapathi, Sagar Prasad Patra, Praveen Nayak, Akash Raut members were prominently present in this event.
