Sub-Divisional level 78th Independence Day Grand Ceremony held at Brahampur
Berhampur 16/8 (Abhijit Kar): On the 78th Independence Day at the Khallikot College Ground, Ganjam District Collector Mr. Dibya Jyoti Parida joined and hoisted the national flag as a symbol of independence. By praising and the freedom fighters, he brought to light the stories echoed in history, and paid tribute to the brave sacrifices of the freedom fighters of Ganjam soil. He said that the home triangle program of the country is encouraging every citizen to increase the tourism sector approved for Ganjam district and how to strengthen in the field of art, culture, literature, for the strong sense of unity and integrity of the nation. The chief guest garlanded the veteran freedom fighters of Ganjam district at a photo exhibition.
This historic day has been celebrated in Berhampur city with grand ceremony in collaboration with 39 teams and 6 physical sports participated in the Sub-District level parade and Brahmapur Skating put up an impressive display. The parade was presided over by the parade commander R. I. Of Police M. Lakshmi Ranjan, Second in Command, Sergeant Mr. Prasanna Kumar Das conducted it. Berhampur MLA K. Anil Kumar, BeMC Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, Sub – District Collector Dina Dastgir, Deputy Mayor E. Vivek Reddy, former MLA Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chayupattanaik, Additional Security Officer Mr. Ramesh Sethi were present in this sub-district level Independence Day celebration. The Chief Guest felicitated all the competitions held earlier for the Sub-Divisional Independence Day.
Similarly, in the evening, Triranga concert was performed by the school students at the local District Culture Bhawan and self-made products of Brahampur self-help groups were displayed and sold there. Brahampur Sub – District Collector Dina Dastgir presided over the Triranga concert program, which was attended by Mayor of Brahampur Municipality Smt. Sanghamitra Dalei and Deputy Collector Subrata Ramviram Shetpathi, Kasturi Swain Major. All these programs were managed by Sub Divisional Information and Public Relations Officer Loknath Shatpathi while all the officers and employees contributed in the management.
