Jamie Foxx Says He’s "Too Blessed to Be Stressed" After Altercation at Birthday Dinner

Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, known for his role in Django Unchained, recently addressed an altercation that occurred at his birthday dinner in Beverly Hills. According to reports, someone from another table threw a glass that struck Jamie in the mouth, requiring him to get stitches.

A spokesperson for the 57-year-old actor and comedian confirmed the incident, stating that the matter is now under investigation by law enforcement. Despite the unsettling event, Jamie took to Instagram to share his thoughts, writing, "The devil is busy... but I'm too blessed to be stressed."

Jamie also thanked his fans for their support and for watching his Netflix show, What Had Happened Was, which is currently number one on the platform. He added in his caption:

“The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me, when your light is shining bright, they try to bring you darkness but they don't know that you're built for it.”

This altercation comes shortly after Jamie publicly opened up about his terrifying health crisis last year. In a tearful moment during his new Netflix special Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was..., he shared that he suffered a stroke caused by a brain bleed, which led to him "seeing a tunnel" and believing he was dying. The actor revealed that he "lost 20 days" of memory due to the incident.

Recalling the experience, Jamie said: "On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin. I realised quickly that when you're in a medical emergency, your boys don't know what the f*** to do.” He went on to say, "I don't remember 20 days" and, with tears in his eyes, declared, "You don’t know how good this feels” as he thanked his audience for their support.
