Couple Killed as Passenger Bus Catches Fire After Hitting Bike in Jajpur

In a tragic incident in Odisha’s Jajpur district, a passenger bus caught fire following a collision with a motorcycle near Chhatia, resulting in the loss of two lives, including a woman. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.

Reports indicate that the bus, en route from Balasore to Cuttack, collided with the motorcycle on National Highway-16 near Chhatia. The impact dragged the two riders for some distance, leading to their immediate death.

Fortunately, all passengers aboard the bus were able to evacuate quickly, escaping unharmed before the flames spread.

Local police arrived promptly at the scene and arranged for the bodies to be sent for autopsy. Fire Services personnel were also on-site, working to extinguish the blaze.
