Chennai: In a recent turn of events, Tamil musician and actor GV Prakash Kumar confirmed his separation from his wife Saindhavi on May 13th. Following the announcement, Kumar addressed online speculation about the reasons behind the split, emphasising his disapproval of such behaviour. In the wake of online harassment over the past two days, musician Prakash issued a statement in Tamil. He clarified that the recent split was amicable and urged fans to stop the rumor mill, emphasizing that the speculation is causing pain for everyone involved. Read along.

Taking to Instagram GV Prakash commented, “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on personal lives just because they’re celebrities. Has Tamil people’s honour come down so much that they don’t realise how their comments hurt people? (sic).”
He further continued, “The reason for our separation has been conveyed to our family members and friends. We decided after careful consideration. I’m writing this to convey that your comments, irrespective of the intentions, are hurtful. Please respect everyone’s emotions; thanks to everyone for their support (sic).”

GV Prakash’s Marriage with Saindhavi
After 11 years of marriage, music director Prakash and singer Saindhavi announced their separation on social media on May 13th. The couple, who have a daughter named Anvi born in 2020, stated that they are going their separate ways for the sake of their well-being and maintain a sense of mutual respect. They requested privacy during this difficult time.
GV and Saindhavi took to their respective social media handle and announced parting ways. GV wrote, ““Acknowledging that we’re growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time (sic).”
