Security lapse during President Droupadi Murmu, PM Modi’s Ayodhya visit; fake doctor was on VVIP duty
Ayodhya: In a shocking revelation, a major security breach involving President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come to light. The incident took place when President Droupadi Murmu had arrived in Ayodhya in May whereas PM Modi visited the city on May 5. He also held a roadshow and visited Ram temple for Lord Ram Lalla’s darshan.
The breach unfolded from the employment of a doctor with a fraudulent medical degree who was responsible for the medical care of these leaders. The suspected fake doctor, identified as Dr Vinod Singh, had been appointed to his position at the district hospital in Ayodhya without proper verification of his credentials. According to information, Singh had obtained his job with the aid of a fake medical degree, casting doubt on the entire recruitment process overseen by the joining officer.
What probe revealed
Despite concerns about his legitimacy, Singh continued his duties unchecked, even attending to more than two dozen VVIPs, including President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi. However, suspicions arose, prompting an investigation into his qualifications. Subsequently, Singh submitted his resignation to hospital authorities and left.
The lax oversight in verifying Vinod Singh’s credentials prompted urgent discussions among department officials, who are awaiting directives from higher authorities, including the Director-General of Health, regarding appropriate action.
Similar incident
In the year 2012, a fake doctor Genda Singh was caught in Basti district, whom authorities are now linking with Vinod Singh. During the arrest, the police had found two driving licenses from Genda Singh, one in the name of Genda Singh and the other in the name of Vinod Kumar Singh. It is being suspected that the same Vinod Singh arrived as the doctor who had been posted in Ayodhya.
