Sumona Chakravarti Reveals The Reason For Her Absence From The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show
Actor Sumona Chakravarti is one of the household names in the TV industry. She paved her path in the entertainment industry and became one of the renowned names on Comedy Nights With Kapil. However, when Kapil came up with his show on Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show, fans missed Sumona’s presence. Now, the actor has opened up about why she is not a part of the Netflix comedy show.
When Sumona was asked why she isn’t a part of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show,‘ she told news agency PTI, “I don’t have an answer to this. The show that I was part of, which was on another channel, ended last year in July. Since then, I’ve been on my own journey, doing my own things, networking, and meeting people.” For the unversed, Sumona has been working with Kapil since 2013. She expressed her gratitude for the fans’ affection, acknowledging those who have missed her presence in the ongoing ensemble Netflix series.
Chakravarti featured on Colors’ Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV. Regarding Kapil Sharma’s comedy show on Netflix, it features Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh.
Sumona Reveals People Tell Her That They Miss Her Presence on the Comedy Show
The actor, known for her role in the TV serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, revealed that people often come to her and tell her that they miss her on the show.
“I know fans have missed me; I’ve seen their messages. I meet people everywhere. The moment you step out of the house, your neighbours tell you. That is exactly what motivates you to do something different,” the actor said.
She further added, “When I was in London last year, I had so many Indians telling me that they liked me in ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. It’s really nice to see the love coming, whether it’s for ‘Bade Achhe…’ or ‘Comedy Nights…’. It’s great, and you know you are doing something right. Nobody expected me to do well in comedy.”
Meanwhile, Chakravarti is excited about her involvement in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, a show where celebrity contestants confront their greatest fears in pursuit of the prestigious title.
