Gory details of Bangladesh MP’s murder

Bangladeshi MP honey-trapped?

Anwarul Azim Anar who was living at his relative’s house in Bada Nagar area near Kolkata had gone out for treatment on May 13. He had been missing since then. A missing complaint was lodged by his relative Gopal Bishwas on May 18 following which a probe was launched by the police. During investigation, police found blood stains at a flat in New Town area of Kolkata.

The initial probe into the “murder” revealed that he could have been “lured” into the flat by a woman and then murdered by contract killers. The investigation also found Anar’s friend Akhtar Razzaman Shaheen, a US citizen, had paid around Rs 5 crore to those involved in the crime. It was also revealed during the probe that the the New Town flat was rented out to the MP’s close friend by its owner. The probe indicated that Awami League MP fell into a honey trap laid by a woman who was also close to the victim’s friend.

A CCTV footage showed that the Bangladeshi MP entered the flat along with a woman and two men. The three people were later seen leaving the flat but the MP was not with them.

As per sources, woman who laid the honey trap was the girlfriend of the main conspirator, Shaheen. The woman also sent a message to the MP that reads “I have come to Calcutta. I have reached New Town, there is an urgent matter, come on”.

Skin peeled, flesh minced

Circumstantial evidence indicates that the MP was first strangled and then his body was chopped into several pieces, police claimed. The revelations are nothing short of chilling. The probe also revealed that after killing Anar, the accused skinned body, removed all the flesh, and minced it to obliterate any possibility of identification. His body parts were smeared with turmeric and bleaching powder and kept in refrigerator, the investigation found. The accused also cut his bones into small pieces and packed the remains in plastic bags disposed of across Kolkata.

The illegal immigrant detained by the West Bengal CID has been identified as Jihad Hawladar, 24. He is butcher from Mumbai. He was allegedly brought to Kolkata by Akhtar Razzaman Shaheen two months before the alleged grusome murder. Hawladar told the police confessed that on the orders of Shaheen, he and other four Bangladeshi nationals smothered and killed the MP in the flat. Thereafter, they deskinned the body in the flat, minced the flesh.
