All Schools in Odisha’s Puri District Closed Due to Heavy Rainfal

Puri: All schools in Odisha’s Puri district will remain closed today, as announced by the district Collector. The closure comes in response to heavy rainfall in the area. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for multiple districts across Odisha today.

According to the IMD, moderate rain and thundershowers, with occasional intense spells, are expected in districts such as Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, and Dhenkanal, prompting an Orange Warning for these regions.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to affect Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, and Nayagarh, for which a Yellow Warning has been issued.
