Bigg Boss fame Archana Gautam breaks silence on Delhi assault, says it was like ‘on-road rape’
Model turned politician Archana Gautam, who is known for her stint on reality shows like Bigg Boss 16 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 was beaten outside the Congress office in New Delhi on Friday. She has finally broken her silence on the incident, calling it an ‘on-road rape.’

According to the reports, the incident occurred when Archana was visiting the Congress office with her father on 29 September. She wanted to meet Priyanka Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to congratulate them on the passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the parliament.
However, some members allegedly misbehaved with Archana and she was denied entry into the party office. According to the videos that have surfaced on social media, she can be seen being pushed and attacked by a group of people standing outside the office.
The video takes a shocking turn when her father can be seen lying on the road and Archana is heard begging for help.
Archana breaks her silence
In a recent interview with News18, Archana opened up about the assault and said that she wasn’t allowed to enter the party office. The guards told her that they had received orders to not let her enter the premises.
She added that she is unaware of the reason behind it and barely managed to escape from the situation that unfolded. “I somehow saved my life.”
Archana said that she went to the party office to congratulate them. “I thought I would receive a warm welcome because I was visiting for the first time after Bigg Boss ended.” She added that what happened was exactly the opposite of what she had hoped.
The politician-model revealed that there were women who also misbehaved with her and her father, leaving him injured. Archana said that she was banging on car doors hoping to hide in them. “They pulled my hair. It was no less than an on-road rape. I begged them with folded hands.”

Archana’s rise to fame
Archana rose to fame after she participated in the 16th season of the reality show Bigg Boss last year. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Archana was a politician. She had joined the Congress party in 2021.
