Delhi Traffic advisory: PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi to hold first poll rallies today | Time, venue, routes to avoid

New Delhi: In their first poll pitch in the national capital for the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will be addressing different public gatherings in New Delhi on Saturday ahead of Phase 6 voting on May 26. Security has been beefed in the city ahead of the events besides traffic restrictions and diversions being put in place.

Given the high-profile events and the number of people attending the rallies of the two leaders, traffic congestion is anticipated in the city due to which the Delhi Traffic Police have enforced route diversions and restrictions before and during the rallies.

PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi rally venue and time

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his first campaign rally in North East Delhi, while Rahul Gandhi will campaign in the Chandni Chowk constituency. The traffic police have made elaborate arrangements in the national capital for the two key events.

The rally of PM Modi will likely begin at 4 pm, whereas Gandhi will address his rally in Ashok Vihar (Chandni Chowk) at around 6 pm.

In a post on X, Delhi Traffic  Police announced special traffic arrangements around the Ram Lila Ground near the New Delhi Railway station, Ashok Vihar Phase-IV. The traffic advisory comes into effect from May 18, 2 pm.
