Gauahar Khan Loses Her Cool After She Doesn’t Find Her Name On The Voter List: ‘This Very Confusing and Badly Organised’
Mumbai: Bollywood actress, Gauahar Khan made the headlines on social media. A video of Gauahar took the internet by storm when she was seen storming out of the election booth in Mumbai. The fifth phase of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 is conducted in Mumbai. However, Gauahar Khan had a terrible experience at her polling booth. She lost her cool when she was refused to cast her vote upon carrying an Aadhar card as proof of identity. Gauahar Shares Her Awful Experience At Polling Booth
Taking to Instagram, Gauahar Khan says, “I really have an appeal. Why do we have Aadhaar cards if we are not considered citizens enough to vote? Your Aadhaar card is your identity that you are an Indian citizen and you should be able to vote with that. But when you go to voting counters with our Aadhaar cards and ID proofs, they say you cannot vote because your name is not on the list. I’m just making a humble appeal that on the basis of your Aadhaar card, you must be allowed to vote as an Indian citizen (sic).”

She further continues, “Why are we being denied our right to vote just because of the survey they’ve done doesn’t have your name? It has names of people who are not even living in the building. Here people are fighting and going berserk because they have their IDs but the survey does not have their names. That is the most basic deprivation of your rights (sic).”
In another video, Gauahar Khan storms out of the polling booth, she shares the awful situation she experienced at the polling booth in Mumbai. In anger she says, “It’s very very confusing and badly organised (sic).” She jumps in the car and storms out of the polling booth.
