Heeramandi Actor Shekhar Suman Reveals He Couldn’t Narrate Oral Sex Scene With Manisha Koirala to Wife: ‘Batane Layak Nahi…’

Heeramandi: Shekhar Suman, the actor who played Nawab Zulfikar in Heeramandi, has been receiving praise for his role left, right and centre. The actor spoke about the oral sex scene with Manisha Koirala’s Mallikajaan in a carriage. In a post-show interview, he revealed that he was unable to even tell his wife about the scenario and advised her to see it for herself.

Shekhar Suman and Manisha Koirala are shown in the scenario inside a carriage, with the former believing that the latter is giving him fellatio. The 61-year-old actor revealed that he couldn’t narrate the scene to his wife in an interview with Pinkvilla. “I couldn’t even tell my wife what he is doing. When I came back from the shoot, she said you did a scene and you are not telling me about it. I said ‘woh batane layak hai hee nahi aur karke dikhane layak toh bilkul bhi nahi. Woh tum seedha hi dekh lena‘ (It is not worth telling and certainly not worth demonstrating. You should see that directly), ” he said.

Shekhar also added that people are beginning to appreciate and comprehend the scene’s emotional depth, which depicts a nawab grappling with his financial situation and social standing as a result of the British and the courtesans.

Shekhar went on to discuss his character Zulfikar’s mental health and said that he knew Mallikajaan was exploiting him. “He was aware of the fact that he had to fall from grace to be on the side of the Britishers. He was aware that he had to leave his status as a nawab and be lying around here in a drunken state for his physical need or his lust or whatever, ” he continued.

The red-light district of Heera Mandi in pre-partition Lahore, which is now in Pakistan, served as the inspiration for Heeramandi. The life of Heeramandi’s courtesans and their connections with Nawabs throughout the 1920s and 1940s are portrayed in the epic series. The narrative takes place against the backdrop of the Indian independence movement against British rule. In addition to Shekhar Suman and Manisha Koirala, the program has important roles played by Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Farida Jalal, Adhyayan Suman, Shruti Sharma, Pratibha Ranta, and Fardeen Khan.
