IMD Issues Rain and Lightning Warning for Odisha Until September 26

Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain warning for Odisha, effective until September 26. A yellow warning has been announced for lightning and rainfall across the state.

The weather department predicts that lightning and rainfall will persist until September 26. A yellow warning for heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) has been issued, particularly for isolated areas in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Additionally, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected in isolated areas of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, and Nabarangpur on September 27.

On September 28, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is likely in isolated locations within Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, and Bargarh districts.
