Manoj Bajpayee on Not Fitting Into The Category of Rich and Handsome Actors: ‘I Wouldn’t Ever Get Work…’

Manoj said, “In the criteria of rich and handsome, I wouldn’t ever get any work. But having said that, an audition should be treated as an opportunity to act. Right? Don’t focus on what else is said because if followers mattered, it would only matter for the main lead castings.”

The actor emphasised that his approach to work is different and that superficial criteria do not define his career. “This theory doesn’t apply in my area of work. We operate differently. And if someone speaks like that, we make sure that next time they don’t.”

Manoj Bajpayee advised aspiring actors to seize every opportunity to showcase their talent, even if it means performing in an office setting during auditions. “You just have to hunt for the opportunity to act. After the audition, keeping expectations is the most foolish act,” he added.
