4 Candidates filed Nomination Papers on the First Day
• Polling on 11th and declaration of results in the afternoon
Berhampur, 21/7 (Abhijit Kar): After a gap of many years, the election of Press Club Berhampur will be held. Therefore, the nomination submission process has started today. However, while a total of 10 working journalists submitted their membership fees on the first day, four journalists submitted their nomination papers. Among them, Sharat Kumar Singh for the post of President, Abhay Padhi and Abhijit Kar for vice president and Sameer Kumar Rath for joint Secretary Along have submitted their nomination papers. However, according to the press club Brahmapur election notification information, after the publication of the voter list of the election, the submission of nomination papers will start from today and will be accepted on the 22nd and 23rd from 10 am to 1 pm, and on Thursday the 25th from 10 am to 1 pm and withdrawal of nomination papers will be held at 3 pm.
The committee members have informed that the names of candidates for Final competition will be announced. Also, on Sunday, August 4th, the ‘Why I am Candidate’ meeting will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Likewise, voting will be held from 8 am to 2 pm on Sunday, August 11, and the results will be announced at 3 pm. It has been said that the swearing-in ceremony will be held on the 15th. Election committee member and Working President Gopal Patnaik, Narayan Mahakund, Sameer Kumar Acharya and Rashmita Panigarahi were prominently present.
