Berhampur, 6/7 (Abhijit Kar): On Friday evening, Gopalpur Constituency BJD held a press conference in response to BJP’s press conference on behalf of Biju Janata Dal at the residence of former BJD MLA Bikram Kumar Panda in Gajapati Nagar. Ganjam District Working President president CH. Dileshwar Reddy, DRDA Vice President S Rajeshwari Dora, Deputy Mayor Vivek Reddy, District Council Member Deepak Kumar Samantha, Bharti Naik, Rangeilunda Block President Ajit Das Major were present and said, “Yesterday, the BJP party in Ganjam district held a press conference to honor it self. We strongly condemn it on behalf of the Biju Janata Dal. It is a matter of BJP party to hide the violence that is happening at the instigation of Gopalpur MLA and Hon’ble Minister. Biju Janata Dal has been serving the people of Gopalpur Constituency and will continue to do so, but the Biju Janata Dal is opposing the violence that it is doing before and after the election.
Biju Janata Dal has not done any riotous or violent program before or after elections, BJP is spreading lies to hide its (false) violent activities. In addition, the BJP party itself, commenting on the character of the former Brahmapur MLA, look at his face in the mirror, the people of Brahmapur are well aware of the services he has provided to the people of Brahmapur and the improvement of the city of Brahmapur in the last five years. For this, BJP party does not need any proof. In the last election, Mr. Bikram Panda, a former MLA from Berhampur, became a candidate for the Gopalpur Constituency, and in a very short period of time, he has won the trust of the people and by attracting the attention of the former Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, he has done more than 20 crores worth of various improvement works. The BJP party has said against the former Brahmapur MLA Mr. Bikram Kumar Panda, “We welcome all investigations by the BJD to conduct a vigilance investigation and we respect the law.” He said that this is a sign of intolerance of the BJP party.
