National Sports Day was observed at City College

Berhampur, 31/8 (Abhijit Kar): National Sports Day has been held in the premises of Berhampur City College on the orders of the Higher Education Department of Odisha Government. At the beginning of the meeting, after the collective national anthem was sung, the meeting was held under the coordination of Professor Mr. Pradeep Das. The Principal of the college, Dr. Anita Kumari Panda, inaugurated the meeting and gave an address about the importance of the sports day.

Mr. Sachidananda Das, former sports teacher of this college, joined the program as the chief guest. He gave motivational messages to the students and informed them about the essence of Sports Day. All the teachers, faculty and staff of the college were present along with the students and the oath related to sports was recited and after the assembly the organization of various sports started. On this occasion, the talented students who participated in various competitions and performed well were awarded with certificates. In the end, Mr. Sudam Charan Bishoyi, the lecturer of the Department of Chemistry, gave a vote of thanks. The students enjoyed this sports day with joy. All faculty and staff of the college contributed to the program.
