Self-Government Day celebrated in Asika Notified Area Council

Asika, 31/8 (Abhijit Kar): The Asika NAC has celebrated Self-Government Day in a grand ceremony. National flag was hoisted by NAC Chairperson Vineta Swain in the premises of NAC office. Later, a wreath was placed at the statue of the groom in the city. As per the information, a meeting and felicitation program was held in the evening. It was attended by MLA Saroj Kumar Padhi as Chief Guest, Asika Tehsildar Priyanka Priyadarshani as Guest of Honour, SDPO Sanjay Kumar Mohapatra, Police Station Officer Rajendra Narayan Patnaik, NAC Executive Officer Loknath Bez, Social Worker Satya Narayan Swain and Sandeep Padhi as chief guests of honor from all the councils.

In this Occasion the guests in their speeches highly appreciated the work of NAC and expressed their gratitude to the officers, staff and the chairman and executive officers who manage it. On this occasion, all the departmental officers and employees working specially in Asika NAC area were felicitated. Similarly, the students who achieved merit in various competitions organized earlier were also awarded by the guests. Prizes were also distributed to the best performing teams in the dance competition among others. All the staff of the office contributed to the management of this program.
