Independence Day is Celebrated at Gurukula International Public School

Brahmapur, 15/8 (Abhijit Kar): The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Gurukula International Public School, at local Goods Road. Senior lawyer Pitabash Panda was the chief guest on this holy day, Mr. Samanchal Behera, former MLA of Jagannath Prasad and advisor of Gurukula Family Association, and President of parents’ association Ranjan Polai, School Chairman Prashant Mahapatra, Secretary Anita Kumari Padhi, headmistress Madhusmita Parida were the guests of honour. The chief was present and hoisted the tricolor national flag symbolizing peace, friendship. On this occasion, the chief guest Mr. Panda narrated the story of his life dedication to the nation of Freedom fighters and gave an inspiring and rousing speech to the students. On this occasion, the first ten students who scored the highest marks in the 10th and 12th classes of the school were felicitated by the chief guest. While various cultural Programs were performed by the students of School, interesting physical programs were performed by the Scout and Guide students of the school. Jyosna Bhujabal, the senior teacher of the Odia department in charge of this whole cultural program and all the teachers and students of the school participated in the management. Under the supervision of Scout Guide Master Madhusmita Hota, Scout Guide cadets of the school participated in the Parade of Excellence Day held at Brahmapur Khallikot University Stadium and got the first prize.
