President Draupadi Murmu gave assent to 3 new criminal bills

New Delhi, 25/12: The three laws made in the Turquoise Age have now expired. President Draupadi Murmu has approved 3 new criminal bills. These three bills have now become law with the President’s assent. The Indian Justice Code, Indian Civil Protection Code and Indian Evidence Code were earlier passed by both the Houses of Parliament. Union Home Minister Amit Shah described the bill as historic and said that the laws will put citizens’ rights first and prioritize the protection of women and children. Now after getting the assent of the President, these three bills have become laws. Henceforth, the IPC of 1860 will be known as the Indian Judicial Code, the CRPC of 1898 as the Indian Civil Protection Code and the Indian Evidence Act of 1872 as the Indian Evidence Code.
