State Level Conference of Odisha Non-Gazetted Forest Service Association

Berhampur, 7/1 (Abhijit Kar): The state conference of Odisha Non-Gazetted Forest Service Association has been held on Sunday at the local Diamond Jubilee Town Hall. In the program presided over by State President Jagbandhu Patra, State Government Minister of Forest Environment and Climate Change Pradeep Kumar Amat was the chief guest, State Planning Board Member Dr Ramesh Chandra Chow Patnaik, Berhampur Regional Conservator of Forests Sanjay Kumar Swain, Berhampur Forest Officer were the guests of honour. Sunny Khokhar, Parlakhemundi Forest Officer S. Anand, South Ghumusar Forest Officer Binod Acharya, State President of the organization Khageswar Sethi, General Secretary Dillip Mishra, Vice President Bhavani Shankar were the main participants. At the beginning of the program, General Secretary Mr. Mishra read out the annual report and started the meeting. In his speech, the minister said that the government has taken various measures to protect the working forest workers in the state. Like other departments, forest department also has various problems, the vacant posts are a myth, the government has directed the department to do the promotion as soon as possible. Divisional Minister Mr. Amat said that the role of these forest personnel in the protection of forests and wildlife in the state is unique.

Similarly, the department has focused on creating a plastic-free environment and completely eliminated single-use plastics. Similarly, in view of the protection of the trees, giving importance to paper lace section and using each side of the paper, the Regional Chief Forest Conservator said. He also thanked the state government on behalf of the organization for giving importance to the department’s promotion and creation of new posts for the past one year. Similarly, seven more demands of the employees’ union were presented on the stage on behalf of the union. At the end of the meeting, the Vice President of the Federation Mr. Paricha expressed his vote of thanks. Working members from all Forest divisions of the state, including union members Santosh Bisoyi Ratna, Amaresh Kumar Das, Babu Sethi, Rajeev Behera, Somnath Mallik, Girish Ray, P Suraj Rao, among others, participated in the event.
